Man killed as rifle goes off accidently

A commission agent was killed after his rifle went off accidentally at his house in Raipur Bet village on Friday. The deceased was identified as Rajinder Singh Gill (52). According to his family members, Gill was cleansing his rifle before submitting it in the local police station ahead of the upcoming zila parishad and panchayat samiti elections.

According to his family members, Gill was cleansing his rifle before submitting it in the local police station ahead of the upcoming zila parishad and panchayat samiti elections. The bullet hit Gill in the left side of his chest, killing him on the spot.
Koomkalan police SHO Gurbachan Singh said they reached the spot and started investigation in this case.
