Man killed as speeding car hits vehicle coming from opposite side

A man was killed while three others were injured after a speeding vehicle had rammed into a car coming from the opposite side near Raipur Kalan, Sohana, on Friday evening. After the death of his father Harvinder Verma, 64, resident of Kurukshetra, complainant Kamal Verma lodged a police complaint against the driver, Dinesh Verma, who too sustained injuries and is admitted to hospital, for rash driving.

A man was killed while three others were injured after a speeding vehicle had rammed into a car coming from the opposite side near Raipur Kalan, Sohana, on Friday evening. After the death of his father Harvinder Verma, 64, resident of Kurukshetra, complainant Kamal Verma lodged a police complaint against the driver, Dinesh Verma, who too sustained injuries and is admitted to hospital, for rash driving.

The deceased, who had come to meet his brother in Kurali was going back when he met with an accident. The car occupants, Baljeet Kaur and Gurcharan Singh, also sustained serious injuries and are also undergoing treatment. When they reached near Raipur Kalan, Dinesh, driving at very high speed, lost balance and drove the vehicle over the divider and rammed into the car coming from the opposite side. Harvinder was later rushed to a private hospital in Sector 71 where he succumbed to his injuries.
