Man kills wife, two minor daughters in Rewari

A 25-year-old man reportedly stabbed his wife and two minor daughters to death at Rajgarh village of Rewari district.

The deceased have been identified as Sarita (22), Madhu ,2, and Annu,11 months.

The accused, identified as Manoj Kumar, later attempted to commit suicide by stabbing himself. He was rushed to the civil hospital, Rewari, where currently he was fighting for his life.

As per details, Manoj married Sarita, a resident of Haleda village of Bhiwani district, three years ago. Accused works in a private company at Manesar of Gurgaon district and had come to his home three days ago. Sources said the couple had a dispute over some domestic issue, which enraged Kumar and he stabbed his wife and two minor kids with a kitchen knife. Later, he stabbed himself using the same knife.

After police was intimated, deputy superintendent of police, Tahir Hussain, reached the spot and took the weapon in his possession and sent the bodies for the post-mortem.

Rewari SP Pankaj Nain said that the accused has been booked for murder. Sarita's kin alleged that Kumar killed his wife for dowry. The SP said that the accused seemed to be mentally disturbed as he had told the police that Lord Hanuman had come in his dreams and asked him to kill his family members to attain salvation. He said that investigations are on, as accused is under treatment at the civil hospital.
