A man, who did not want to return a loan of Rs two lakh, staged an abduction drama of his sister, SSP Surjit Singh Grewal said on Sunday. Dharamkot police had registered a case of abduction on the complaint of Mohammad Sharif, resident of Gujar Boparai district, Jalandhar.

Sharif alleged that his 18-year-old sister Reshma was abducted by four persons on Saturday morning when he along with his sister was on way to Daudhar village of Moga district on a motorcycle near Dharamkot.
SSP Grewal said police immediately swung into action to arrest the four. But during investigation it was found that there was no abduction and it was staged drama by the complainant.
