Singh claimed that after the bag was opened, the officials found two pistols bearing US mark and two countrymade magazines along with 40 live cartridges.

Singh said that the arrested man had admitted that his cousin Abid was earlier working for one Juber from Pulwama, but after Abid was arrested and was behind the bars for two years, Juber was forcing him (Islam) to join the outfit for which he had refused earlier. Islam had told Police that he was threatened with the dire consequences, revealed the AIG. Juber had threatned to kill his family which forced him to become a weapon courier and started smuggling weapons from Bihar, added Singh.

Islam has reportedly accepted that he was sent to Barkha village in Munger district in November 2013 and was given a sum of Rs 35,000. Besides this amount, he was handed over one pistol, two cartridges at that time by his contacts. Moreover, Islam successfully handed over two pistols and 20 cartridges in February this year to his terror links, added Singh.
