After getting reports of overflowing sewage and pitiable condition of Kapil Park area, mayor Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria paid a visit to the area to take a stock of the situation on Thursday. He also visited the sewage treatment plant, Balloke, as some people had claimed that the plant was not functioning properly.
Gohalwaria said that the motors at the sewage treatment plant were functioning properly. He said there could be other reason behind overflow of sewage.
He said the concerned officials have been directed to do the needful.
Meanwhile, Gohalwaria also visited Panj Peer Road where he inspected the work of storm water sewerage system. He said only 40% of the work has been completed.
