The municipal corporation sealed two buildings and a mobile tower in different localities of the city on Tuesday upon receiving complaints from residents.

A resident from Jawahar Nagar said that the seal on a mobile tower had been broken in an attempt to re-run the cellular facility. They had complained to MC that they don't want the mobile tower there and that it should be shifted elsewhere. The MC had sealed it earlier but the seal was broken some time ago without any permission from the MC, he added. Building inspector Rajvir Kaur confirmed that the tower has been sealed again.

Kaur had inspected the tower and prepared a report that was forwarded to the officials. On Tuesday, the MC staff, along with police force, sealed the tower that was installed on a roof top near Middha Chowk.

The municipal corporation teams also sealed two buildings in Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar and Lajpat Nagar said Kamaljeet Kaur, municipal town planner of MC.

The owner of the property in BRS Nagar illegally changed the land of use as the building was in a residential area. Rajvir Kaur further informed that a six storey building was sealed in Lajpat Nagar as it was constructed without a sanctioned plan.
