MC to rope in more graffiti artists to beautify Ludhiana

With an aim to beautify the city, Ludhiana Municipal Corporation is all set to rope in more graffiti artists to paint the busy junctions of the city.

There are six teams of two to four members, who are already working in different areas of the city and MC is planning to induct more artists as per the availability of artists.

MC commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that the graffiti work has been completed at four more locations and the MCL would organise more events to acknowledge the hard work of the artists.

The graffiti has been completed in Dholewal Chowk, Oswal Cancer Hospital Chowk, opposite Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar and Lodhi Club Underpass. Along with this, new locations for graffiti have been allocated by the department where the work would begin shortly. More than six months have passed since the graffiti work was started in the city. Till now graffiti has been done in Ambedkar Chowk, Gill Chowk, Samrala Chowk, Sherpur Chowk, Jagraon Bridge, Lakkar Bridge, Elevated Road pillars, BRS Nagar junction, Dugri junction and Gill junction alongside Sidhwan Canal Road.
