To strengthen and streamline the grievance redressal system, a centre will be set up on the ground floor of the municipal corporation (MC) building in the first week of February.
While giving information regarding the grievance redressal centre on Wednesday, MC commissioner B Purushartha said the existing complaint centre situated at the medical office of the health building, Sector 17, would be merged with this centre by shifting all existing employees and infrastructure. He said appropriate changes in the existing online application would be made to accept offline grievance as well.
According to the MC commissioner, a proper workflow for redressal of grievances shall be prepared and adequate infrastructure would be provided to the complaint cell and it would be made functional during the first week of February 2016.
He said MC joint commissioner Virender Chaudhary would be the nodal officer for monitoring, supervision and efficient functioning of this complaint cell. Chaudhary will ensure the fortnight review of complaints at the level of MC commissioner by providing relevant reports and complete data regarding redressal of grievances shall be available before every MC public meet which is scheduled in the second and fourth week of every month.
