Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) on Tuesday inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with University of Massachusetts, Amherst (USA), for academic and research collaboration.
Vice-chancellor HS Chahal, and a representative of University of Massachusetts' international affairs president Jack Ahern signed the MoU.
Chahal said that both the universities would venture into joint academic and research programmes. Further, faculty and student exchange would also be facilitated. "Collaborative research in the area(s) of biotechnology, nanotechnology, environmental science, physical and chemical sciences, etc, would be facilitated," said Chahal. He added that the MoU was a "significant mile stone" in the progress of MDU.
