The maximum temperature in the month of June 2015 was 42.2 degree Celsius, it is expected that the maximum temperature would reach up to 45 degree in June.
The experts from Punjab Agricultural University said that the temperature will rise in the coming 3-4 days. “The weather is expected to remain hot and dry over Ludhiana and its adjoining areas during the next 24 hours”, said Dr KK Gill, assistant agrometeorologist at PAU.
On Friday, the maximum temperature recorded was 42.2 degree celsius while the minimum temperature was 27.6 degree celsius. The morning relative humidity was 51 % and evening relative humidity was 20 %. The length of day 14 hours and 2 minutes. KK Gill said that there are no chances of rain till Tuesday while the temperature can rise up to 45 degree celsius.
Meanwhile, some residents were seen going out with umbrellas to prevent themselves from scorching heat while the residents are being advised to consume ‘lassi’ and ‘lemon water’ to beat the heat. As bacteria grows fast during summers, the residents are advised to avoid consuming road side food items, according to medical experts.
