The police have booked two youth for allegedly gang raping a minor girl at Raikhana village under Maur police station.

Based on complaint by the 15-year-old rape victim, who studies in Class 10 at Government School in Raikhana, the police have booked Amritpal Singh and Manpreet Singh, both residents of Raikhana, under Section 376 D IPC and protection of children from sexual offences. Both the accused are in early twenties.

The complainant alleged that on October 2 afternoon, she had gone to the bus stop to collect a LPG cylinder, which her father, who is a driver with a private bus, had brought. “The accused forcibly took me to the house of another accused and gangraped me there,” she alleged.

Investigation officer Jangir Singh said the medical examination of the victim has been conducted and prima-facie rape has been confirmed, though final reports of medical examination were still awaited. He said the victim didn’t tell the incident on the day as the accused had threatened her of dire consequences.

Both the accused are absconding.
