Minor girl goes missing, abduction case lodged

The city police have booked an unidentified person on charges of abducting a minor girl under sections 363, 364, 506 of the IPC. The Sadar police booked Kuldeep Kumar, a resident of Mustafabad, on the complaint of father of the girl, who alleged that his 16-year-old daughter Manisha had gone to the market from where she was abducted.

The city police have booked an unidentified person on charges of abducting a minor girl under sections 363, 364, 506 of the IPC. The Sadar police booked Kuldeep Kumar, a resident of Mustafabad, on the complaint of father of the girl, who alleged that his 16-year-old daughter Manisha had gone to the market from where she was abducted.


Sub-inspector Kulwant Rai said that the complainant had received threatening calls from various numbers that his daughter would be murdered. "The accused called the complainant to Ambala, Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Malerkotla, but no one was found at those places when he went there," he said. He added that a case had been registered in this regard and the matter was being investigated.
