A gang of miscreants robbed seven migrant labourers by offering them tea laced with sedatives in a train on Friday.

Police are yet to make any headway in the case as the victims have not yet gained consciousness. The labourers are under treatment at the civil hospital.

The authorities at the civil hospital identified the five victims as Harpreet Singh, Chowdhary, Varinder, Sehgal and Ram Murat. Two victims are yet to be identified.

All seven victims had boarded the Dhanbhad Express from Ferozepur around 6.30pm on Friday. Some miscreants offered tea laced with sedatives to them and all of them lost consciousness after consuming the tea. The miscreants robbed their belongings and alighted from the train.
