Relaxing the model code of conduct, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has decided to allow various activities in Haryana, where polling had been completed.

The chief electoral officer, Haryana, Shrikant Walgad, said in a release on Saturday the ECI had allowed certain activities, which included tours of ministers to districts and accompaniment of officers on such tours, review and implementation of the ongoing programmes in the field and review with field officers, except for officers who were on election duty.

Similarly, calling a review meeting of officers at the headquarters except for officers who were on election duty and tour of ministers outside the state or country were among the other activities, which had been allowed by the ECI, he added.
