Mohini gang member held with 25gm heroin

The Division Number 5 police arrested member of infamous Mohini gang after recovering 25gm heroin from his possession on Thursday evening.

The accused has been identified as Darbara Singh was arrested from Middha Chowk.

A case under Section 22/61/85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against him in this context at Division Number 5 police station.

Division Number 5 station house officer (SHO) Beant Juneja said, “The police arrested the accused during special checking. The accused was passing through the area in his car. The police stopped him and recovered 25 gm heroin from him when frisked.

The police have also seized his car.”

The accused was produced before the court on Friday. The court remanded him in one-day police custody.

The SHO said, “The police have been investigating whether the car was bought with the money earned by selling drugs. If it is so, the police will attach the car with the case.”

Darbara Singh was earlier arrested five months ago for snatching and drug peddling and was sent to jail. He was bailed out around one-and-a-half month ago.
