The United Singhs registered their third win in the ongoing World Kabaddi League by defeating Royal Kings USA 59-53 at Prithipal Hockey Stadium in Punjab Agricultural University, here on Sunday. Royal Kings started well and managed to gain a two point lead (14-12) at the end of the first quarter.

But United Singhs made a comeback in the second quarter on the back of some smart catching techniques. Singhs not only managed to reduce the deficit but also managed to gain a three point lead (29-26).

Singhs then started asserting themselves in the match and kept the pressure in the Kings. By the end of the third quarter, Singhs were sitting comfortably at 46-37 with a cushion of 11 points.

Royal Kings refused to throw in the towel and mounted a challenge in the fourth quarter. But in the end, it proved to be too little too late as Singhs sealed a win with six-point margin. In the other match of the day, Lahore Lions beat Yo Yo Tigers 69-59.

Thunder win appeal, earn tie result
