A meeting of the district legal services authority was held here under the supervision of the chairmanship district and session judge Vivek Puri.
Speaking on the occasion, Puri explained the free legal services being given to needy people and knowledge being delivered to people in legal aid clinics by the authority.
He said free legal help was made available to the needy people on demand so that no one is devoid of justice. He said that on April 12, there will be national lok adalat in Ferozepur and Fazilka in which the bench of judges will solve the cases by compromise between parties.
The judge said that, according to the instructions of the Punjab and Haryana high court, secretary of district legal services has been asked to arrange camps to solve minor cases.
He said that the authority will also arrange camps for solving the problems related to making of Aadhar cards, driving licenses, birth and death certificates and issues related to pensions and will also arrange a pension fair in which the pensions will be regulated on the spot by issuing medical reports.
