The 3 Punjab Girls Battalion of national cadet corps (NCC) will organise its annual training camp for over 500 girl cadets of Ludhiana, covering 19 colleges and schools, for a duration of 10 days.
The training camp will be held from Jul 27 to Aug 5 at NCC Academy, Malout in Muktsar district. The camp will be commanded by Colonel Sandeep Bhatia, commanding officer, 3 Pb Girls Bn NCC.
Talking about the camp, Col Sandeep Bhatia emphasised the need for maximum number of girls to join NCC.
He also said, 'The cadets will be given an exposure to soldering and army life and imparted training on important subjects like weapon training, drill, map reading, field craft and battle craft, health and hygiene."
Various guest lectures will be organised on important subjects and the cadets will get the opportunity to interact with society and spread awareness amongst public on various issues.
During the camp, cadets will also be selected for volleyball who will participate in NCC National Games at Delhi.
