The BJP-PDP coalition government can deliver to the needs of the general public of all the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir. BJP Muslim Morcha state secretary Mohamad Sharief Malik said this, while ruling out any possibility of formation of coalition government with the National Conference. He said the public has rejected the Congress and the National Conference in polls.
The public wanted change of regime and they expressed their verdict by casting their vote decisively against the NC and the Congress, he added.
He said the democratic ethos warrants that the public verdict should be respected at all costs. People of both the regions have clearly voted for the BJP and the PDP.
In the Valley, the vote has gone for the PDP and the people of the Jammu province have voted for the BJP. Both the regions should get a sense of participation in the governance of the state and the NC and the Congress cannot provide such sense of participation, he added.
He said that the new government should take the steps to redress the public grievances, particularly the employment of unemployed youth.
