Nine injured as bus overturns in Sangrur

As many as nine passengers were injured, with one being critical, when a PRTC bus they were travelling in overturned near Changal village on the Sangrur-Barnala road on Wednesday.

As many as nine passengers were injured, with one being critical, when a PRTC bus they were travelling in overturned near Changal village on the Sangrur-Barnala road on Wednesday.

One person was referred to the Rajindra Hospital in Patiala while the other injured have been admitted to the civil hospital in Sangrur.

According to the police, the driver of the Barnala-depot bus (PB 19 E1584), which was going to Barnala from Patiala, lost control after the axle of the bus broke as a result of which, the bus overturned.
However, with the timely efforts of the villagers, the passengers were rushed to the hospital. Some of the injured have been identified as Chait Singh of Kaleke, Barnala, who has been referred to Patiala, Daljit Kaur, Hargobind Singh of Patiala, Gurwinder Kaur of Sangera, Gurmail Kaur of Patiala, Kuldeep Singh, conductor of the bus, Sukhpal Kaur and Maagh Singh of Bahadurpur.
