Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) MLA from Karol Bagh, Vishesh Ravi, on Saturday said the party would contest the Lok Sabha elections from Punjab too and would announce the names of its candidates soon.
Replying to a question, Ravi said the party would contest the election in the state on its own and there was no possibility of an alliance with People's Party of Punjab (PPP). Ravi was in Ludhiana.
When asked as to against which party the AAP would contest polls in Punjab, Ravi said the party would contest for issues that affect the common man. AAP did not contest against any particular party in Delhi too, it contested the elections for issues, he added.
On the Jan Lokpal Bill in Delhi, he said the Centre had been interfering in the matter without any reason. "The Delhi government has all rights to prepare the bill and to pass it. The bill has been prepared keeping in view the aspirations and demands of the people of Delhi. If the central government has any issues, they can challenge it in the court," he said.
Asked about the tussle between party leaders, Ravi said rivals had been spreading rumours against the party.
