Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan non-teaching employees’ union staged a protest rally and burnt the effigy of the state government here on Friday. State president of the union Ashish Julaha said future of the youth was not bright. Services of employees working under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) since 2004 have not been regularised. District president of the union Gagan Sharma said the government was overlooking their demands.

“We have met education minister several times and have not been regularised despite repeated assurances,” he said. The union members said if the government failed to fulfil their demands, they would organise a state-level rally in April.
