'NRIs have a lot of respect for martyrs’

Baba Banda Singh Bahadhur International Foundation president Krishan Kumar Bawa on Thursday was greeted by residents at the Gill Road over his return from the United States and Canada where he observed 298th martyrdom of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.

On this occasion, Krishan Kumar Bawa said, “Non-resident Indians (NRIs) have lots of respect for martyrs who sacrificed their lives for us.”
Bawa was on a 15-day trip to Canada and the US, where he met people from different class and observed the martyrdom day.

He said, “On November 1, I will visit Pune along with other volunteers to celebrate the meeting of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur with Guru Gobind Singh. Every year, a delegation would go to Pune to celebrate the occasion,” said Bawa.

Bawa also added that 300th martyrdom day of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur would be observed in New Delhi in a big way.
