With the last day to submit application forms for nursery class admissions today, schools across the city are gearing up to face rush of parents.
Officials at Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, said that the parents start coming in the premises by 8am while the collection of forms begins at 9am only. “Since there will be large number of parents already inside the premises, the gates will be closed for the parents at 10am,” said one of the officials.
Similarly, St John’s School, Sector 26 and Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, will close their gates at 10am. Hence, the parents have only one hour to submit their applications at these schools.
Meanwhile, at St Anne’s School in Sector 32, the parents will be able to submit their forms between 2pm and 4pm and at St Kabir Public School, the forms can be submitted between 9:30am and 12:30pm.
Each of the missionary schools have received approximately 600 forms so far, while Bhavan Vidyalaya Junior School in Sector 33 has received around 1,500 admission forms.
Parents are advised to reach half-an-hour before the collection of forms begins. Also, they should keep the copy and the original certificates required during the process.From January 16 to January 23, all the schools will prepare a final list of students, which will be displayed on the notice boards and will also be uploaded on their websites.
The last date for the submission of fee and documents for the final list of candidates is February 10 after which the schools will display the list of candidates in the waiting list.The last date for the submission of the admission forms for the economically weaker section (EWS) has been already extended till February 28.
