Ranjit Singh, a resident of Thathi Bhai village under Baghapurana subdivision, was booked on Monday for allegedly burning posters of Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda chief Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's yet-to-be-released movie 'MSG: Messenger of God'.

Last week, some unidentified people had torn down the flex board of the film near the dera's branch (naam charcha ghar) here and had allegedly attacked dera followers with sharp-edged weapons and wooden sticks.

In the incident, two dera followers Surinder Pal, a resident of Beant Nagar, and Jaswnat Singh of Baba Nand Singh Nagar, had suffered serious injuries. A case had been registered against eight unidentified people under Section 295-A of Indian Penal Code at Smalsar police station in this regard.
