A 68-year-old woman from Bilaspur district was tested positive for swine flu on Thursday. This case has raised the toll to four.
Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) senior medical superintendent Ramesh Chand confirming said the patient was admitted to IGMC on Wednesday.
The patient was shifted to isolation ward and prophylaxis treatment had been immediately administered all those who had been in contact with the patient that include relatives, doctors and para-medical staff.
"Since January, as many as 20 samples had been tested for swine flu at the IGMC, of which four had tested positive," he said, adding that so far no death has been reported in the state.
