A mid term meeting cum conference of Punjab Orthopaedic Association in association with Jalandhar Orthopaedic Society and local Patel Hospital would be organised at Hotel Ramada on Sunday July 28 wherein experts would discuss and share the latest techniques used for diagnosing orthopaedic problems.
Speaking to media persons, Dr RR Saggar, consultant orthopaedician, Patel Hospital and organising secretary of the conference informed that the theme of the conference is Advanced Musculoskeletal Imaging including MRI, CT Scan, PET-Scan, Bone Scan.
“Eminent speakers from leading hospitals including Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, DMC Ludhiana, PGIMER Chandigarh, AIIMS New Delhi, GMCH Chandigarh would participate and share their knowledge and new techniques”, he added.
More than 150 specialist doctors from across the north would attend the meet. “The conference will include sessions on MRI of spine, knee joint, ankle joint and shoulder joint to discuss how to make MRI reporting more meaningful and manage bone and joint disorders more efficiently”, he added.
Dr Vijay Pal Sidhu, president Jalandhar Orthopaedic Society informed that bone and joint day would be celebrated on August 4 across the country under the society wherein orthopaedicians across the country would provide free surgeries and check up camps for the general public.
