Making her first public appearance on Sunday in Bhiwani after she was attacked at a village of Mahendergarh district on March 19, excise and taxation minister Kiran Choudhry charged Bharatiya Janata Party's Bhiwani-Mahendergarh nominee Dharambir Singh with conspiring to hurt her.

Kiran was attacked at Koriyawas village four days ago during a poll campaign. She sustained injuries on her chest and thigh and was rushed to Narnaul civil hospital, and was later shifted to a private hospital in Gurgaon.

Addressing mediapersons, she said that three motorcycle borne persons were entailing her cavalcade during her poll campaign, who might have committed the crime. Her daughter and Bhiwani-Mahendergarh MP Shruti Chaudhry is Congress nominee against Dharambir Singh.

Dharambir, former Congress MLA from Sohna, quit the party after he was denied ticket from Bhiwani-Mahendergarh.

She said that when Dharambir was in the Congress, she couldn't speak against him and now since had was no more in the party, she could 'expose' him.

She charged Dharambir with bagging the saffron party ticket using 'wrong' means. Notably, Dharambir had called Kiran's injury as mere 'theatrics'.
