Pakistan national crosses border, handed over to Pakistani forces

A Pakistani national, who inadvertently crossed the international border and entered the Indian territory on Thursday, was later on handed over to the Pakistani forces by the Border Security Force.

A Pakistani national, who inadvertently crossed the international border and entered the Indian territory on Thursday, was later on handed over to the Pakistani forces by the Border Security Force.

According to information, jawans of 87 Battalion of BSF at Kalia border outpost here, apprehended Mohammad Ayub, 30, son of Mohammad Liaquat Ali, a resident of Waigal village, Mustafa Badh Luliani police station, district Kasur, Pakistan, after he inadvertently crossed the border and entered the Indian territory. During questioning, he revealed that he had left his home due to some family dispute and inadvertently entered the Indian territory, said KS Kataria, deputy inspector general (DIG) of BSF.

Thereafter, Pakistan Rangers were contacted and the apprehended Pakistani national was handed over to them in a goodwill gesture, added the DIG. "This year nine Pakistanis, who had croosed the border inadvertently, have been handed over to Pakistan Rangers by the Border Security Force, Punjab Frontier," said the DIG.
