Panghoora now has 102 children

A 20-day-old girl, a two-day-old girl and a two-day-old boy are the recent additions to Panghoora - the Cradle, a facility launched in 2008 to take care of and save unwanted, abandoned children.

A 20-day-old girl, a two-day-old girl and a two-day-old boy are the recent additions to Panghoora - the Cradle, a facility launched in 2008 to take care of and save unwanted, abandoned children.


The Centre now has 102 children - including 88 girls and 14 boys. District Red Cross Society chairperson Dr Tarundeep Kaur 'officially received' the children. She added that a medical examination of the children had found them to be healthy. "They would now be sent to government-approved organisations, where they would be put up for adoption," she added.
