The victim's father reported the matter to police on Saturday evening, following which the police have registered the case and started investigation.
The accused, who has been identified as Honey alias Raj -- a native of Tawakari More here, threatened to kill the victim and her father and continued harassing the victim sexually.
The accused was unemployed and used to sing in religious congregations.
Investigating officer Satnam Singh said as per the complaint, the accused used to take the victim, a class 6 student, to his maternal grandmother's house and sexually assaulted her many times in the past two months. The accused lived alone with her elderly grandmother.
The accused had met the victim at a jagran two months ago and started intimidating her. The matter came to light when victim came late after the school hours.
"Fearing threats to her and her parents life, the victim remained mum over the issues and didn't disclose it to anyone," the police.
However, upon on inquiries the girl revealed the whole matter to her parents, following which her father approached the police.
The police have registered a case against the accused under sections 376, 506 of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012.
"The medical examination of the girl has been done and we are waiting for final report before investigating the matter further," he said.
Meanwhile, the police are yet to make any arrest in the case and is conducting raids at possible hideouts.
