Watch: Jalandhar’s African students rock Diljit’s ‘Patiala peg’!

African students do a cover of Diljit Dosanjh’s Patiala Peg cover

The real att and ciraaa is here! 22g take note of this refreshing cover of Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s song “Patiala Peg” by some African youths.  Featuring students of CT Insititute Of Technology near Jalandhar, Punjab, the video has been produced by Speed Records, just like the original video.

Complete with subtitles for the uninitiated in “African-Punjabi” accent, the video shows a group of African youths sitting at a dhaba when a furious woman spurns one of them and warns him against contacting her.

Anything but piqued, the youth clinks Patiala pegs with his friends, and sets out to do a cover of “Patiala Peg”. Directed by Lovkesh Vij, the video has hit 1.36 lakh views on YouTube, besides going viral on Facebook and having 1,900 likes on Instagram.
