Patiala rural Member of Legislative Assembly Brahm Mohindra attended the meeting and raised several issues in need of immediate attention.

From the delay in implementing outdoor advertising policy to financial crisis in the corporation, Mohindra asked the general house to have a detailed discussion on each and every issue and to come out with concrete solutions.

He also took up issues pertaining to poor civic amenities and lack of development in his constituency. "The civic conditions in ward numbers 2 to 22 are pathetic because they are marred with problems regarding garbage, choked sewerage, interrupted water supply in several areas," said Mohindra.
He added that though the government had claimed to spend on rs6.5 crore in his constituency, it seemed that it remained so in papers only since nothing had been spent on the ground.

Mayor Amarinder Bajaj said a work order worth `28 crore had been passed for construction of roads, out of which rs13.5 crore worth of work had already been completed, while the rest will be completed in coming years.

Bajaj also added, "The problem of garbage dumps will persist unless solid waste management plants are set up."
