Bank donates Rs. 1.65 lakh to Rajpura orphanage

The State Bank of Patiala donated Rs. 1.65 lakh on Tuesday to SOS Village, Rajpura. Bank's chief general manager Pukhraj Kanther and general manager (human resource) Deepak Prasad Verma handed over the draft to the directors of SOS Village, Rakesh Sinha and Sunita Kaul.

The Bank will adopted 23 children every year and bear the expenditure on their education and care. The village wasdoing yeoman's service for the uplift of orphan children, said Kanther. Verma also praised the working of the village and said the children were growing up in a beautiful place.
