Three days after Goa  resident Anil Chawan, alias Ravi Goa, one of the close associates of former deputy superintendent of police and drug peddler Jagdish Singh Bhola, was sent on remand, the Patiala police claimed to have seized a drug-testing machine.

Senior superintendent of police Hardial Singh Mann said the police seized the machine  used to check the purity of drug samples before their delivery. “Ravi Goa had taken a flat on rent at Krishna Nagar, Suratgarh (Madhya Pradesh)  where he had installed this machine and used to check the purity of pseudoephedrine, ephedrine, ice and other mixtures”, senior superintendent of police said.

“During the arrest of Ravi by the Mumbai police in 2002, the police managed to seize drugs and other equipment used to prepare drugs but this machine was not traced that time," Mann claimed.
