Akali member of Parliament from Anandpur Sahib Prem Singh Chandumajra has said that the Haryana government is trying to divide the Sikh community by harping on a separate gurdwara committee in the state. The MP alleged that the move was aimed at dividing the Sikh voters keeping the forthcoming assembly elections in mind.

At a function held to honour new chairpersons of the market committees of Amloh, Chanarthal and Sirhind, Chandumajra said Sikh voters in Haryana had rejected the Congress move in the Lok Sabha elections.
