Terming the drive launched by the state unit of Congress to collect figures of unemployed youths in the state a "politically motivated drama", Student Organisation of India (SOI) national president Gurpreet Singh Raju Khanna claimed that the SAD-BJP government had provided more than 1.5 lakh public and allied-sector jobs from 2007 to 2012.

Lashing out at state Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa, Khanna asked him to explain what he did for the state's youths while he was a senior cabinet minister.

He alleged that the Congress-led government had put a total ban on government jobs in the state during its tenure and always tried to hamper the development projects being carried out by SAD-BJP.
