Dal Khalsa asks Takht to intervene

Dal Khalsa leader Kanwar Pal Singh has condemned the thrashing of Punjab-cadre IAS officer Kahan Singh Pannu in Uttarakhand.

Kanwarpal said, "Pannu deserves sympathy from one and all. The beating of Pannu and subsequent removal of his turban by Sikh youths, as evident from the video clip posted on social networking sites, is highly disturbing and shocking."

He appealed to Akal Takht jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh to take a serious note of the incident.

Phoolka to raise cases of missing children in Supreme Court today

Senior Supreme Court advocate and Aam Aadmi Party leader HS Phoolka is going to take up the issue of missing persons of the country, especially Punjab, before the Supreme Court on Monday. “Over 1,00,000 children go missing in India, almost 11 every hour and 3 of these are never recovered, as per the information provided by the National Crime Records Bureau,” Phoolka said.
