Groom-to-be among 3 killed in road mishap

Three youths were killed and one injured when two motorcycles collided at Bhatto village near Nurpur Bedi town in the district on Tuesday night.


The deceased have been identified as Karamjit Singh, Jagannath and Nirmal Singh. The injured, Amandeep Singh, a resident of Munne village, was rushed to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, in a critical condition.

According to sources, Karamjit Singh, an armyman, was on way to home at Sandoya village, where his wedding was scheduled for November 20. He was accompanied by his friend Nirmal Singh, a resident of Panjgrain village, near Faridkot, when their motorcycle collided with another one being driven by Jagannath, a resident of Bhatto village. While Karamjit and Jagannath died on the spot, Nirmal Singh succumbed to his injuries at PGIMER on Wednesday.
