“Though, I lost the competition with a small margin of votes, but still I am very happy with my performance,” Subhreet told the Hindustan Times over phone from Mumbai.

“During this short journey of big competition, I met many Bollywood stars, including Amitabh Bachchan and many others,” Subhreet said, adding, “It is like my dream having come true, and I have proved that only self-confidence is enough to achieve any aim in life in spite of physical shortcomings”, she added.

Subhreet said that during her performance, she had some fun and a nice time with judges Karan Johar, Malaika Arora Khan and Kirron Kher and other talented contenders, who had come from across the country.

Twenty seven-year-old differently-abled dancer Subhreet, who belongs to Jhunda village of the district, which is known for its skewed sex ratio, has now become a national fame.

Since her childhood, Subhreet had faced several challenges in her life to achieve her aim of becoming a famous dancer. Her father died when she was just 9-year-old and in 2010, she lost her right leg in a road accident.
