Nine Patiala jail personnel injured as two groups of inmates clash

Around nine jail personnel including a deputy superintendent of police (jails) has been injured after clash broke out between two groups of inmates at Patiala Central jail.


As per available information, two  groups clashes around 8 am over some issue. The reason behind the fight is yet to be ascertained.

Additional superintendent of police (jail) Rajan Kapur said the jail personnel though managed to control the situation but received multiple injuries.

The injured cops are presently under treatment at Government Rajindera Medical hospital.
