PSPCL Sports meet gets underway

The 39th All India Electricity Sports Control Board kaddadi, power lifting and body building tournaments got underway here at the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) grounds here on Saturday.


While inaugurating the games, PSPCL director administration GS Bachi said that around 450 sportspersons from 21 states are participating in these tournaments.

He added that PSPCL has played a major role in the field of sports and produced many national and International players of repute who have brought glory not only for PSPCL but also for the state and the country.

The chief guest on the occasion was president of All India Electricity Sports Control Board RP Pandove. In his address, Pandove wished the players good luck and said that he hoped to see display of some great sporting skills in the tournament.
