Twentyfive-year-old Sakshi has been presently working as assistant registrar, cooperative societies, with the Punjab government. She secured 88th rank in the PCS examination conducted last year.

Expressing happiness over her success, Sakshi said clearing IAS examination was her ultimate dream.

It was the fourth attempt which proved lucky for her. Earlier, she appeared in interview sessions for two times but failed to secure position in the final cut offs.

"I focused on cracking the test and that had finally happened today," Sakshi said.

An alumnus of SD College in Chandigarh, she was preparing for competitive examination after completing her graduation in B.Sc informatics.

"Even after joining PCS services, I continued preparing for IAS level competitive exam", she said.
