Former MP of Canada and social worker Ruby Dhalla on Saturday attended Welfare Society's monthly meeting along with society's President Satbir Singh Khatra.

Dhalla said they have set a society, Dream For You, with a motive  to help those Punjabi brides, who have been betrayed by their NRI grooms. "NRIs often dupe Punjabi girls after doing marriages in India and leave their brides and fly back abroad but never look back. Our society would help victims and  show them the right way", she said.

She also praised the Punjab government for the developments in the fields of infrastructure, industry and agriculture.

Welfare society's president Satbir Singh Khatra also praised  Dhalla's efforts and cause to help Punjabi girls

He said the Punjab government was determined to provide every kind of help to the affected brides.
