Teacher Eligibility Test-qualified unemployed teachers union staged a protest in the village of minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Surjit SinghRakhra here on Wednesday.
The agitators demanding permanent jobs shouted anti-government slogans for village water tank atop. The TET qualified unemployed teachers union members alleged that on January 18, minister of rural development and panchayat Surjit Rakhra had assured to issue notification of 8000 posts of teachers till February 11, but even after a week no action has been taken.
Union state president, Jasvir Singh alleged, "The government has been giving us false assurances since long but no action has taken."
Singh claimed that earlier the union had called off their protest after assurance from the government but now they could continue protesting till their demands are fulfilled and they are issued job notifications.
