In a new venture, the school of management studies at the Punjabi University has introduced distance-learning MBA programme for senior army officers and working executives.

Department head GS Batra informed that the course would be helpful in rehabilitation of senior army officers and help working executives to enhance their careers.

Three new market-driven specializations- banking and insurance, entrepreneurship development and retail management- have been introduced for this academic session, he said.

“We have signed a memorandum of understanding with the SIAM University in Thailand, University of South Pacific in Fiji and University of Fraser Valley in Canada for academic exchange programmes,” he said of the regular courses offered by the management school.

The department also started a certificate course in business analytics to develop dataanalysis skills and problemsolving ability using different softwares.
