Woman beaten up; later locked in a room by three members of her in-laws family.

A woman from Khant village was allegedly beaten up by three members of her in-laws' family over some family dispute.
Later, they allegedly locked her in room, but she managed to contact her brother on phone, who later rescued her.

Following the statement of the woman, Harpreet Kaur, wife of Kamalpreet Singh, the Khamano police have booked her sister-in-law Harpreet Kaur, father-in-law Tarlochan Singh and another relative Sewa Singh under Sections 342, 323, 34 of the IPC.

Investigating officer Inderjit Singh on Friday said that the woman was married to Kamalpreet Singh around four years back and the couple have two children. He said when the woman's  three members of in-law family beaten her and later locked in a room her
husband was not present at home and working in his agriculture fields.
He said  police is conducting raids to arrest the accused.
