PAU dean joins as DRWA Bhubaneswar director

Dr Neelam Grewal, dean of College of Home Science, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), joined as director of the Directorate of Research on Women in Agriculture (DRWA), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Bhubaneswar, on Monday.

Vice-chancellor Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon and senior university officials attended a farewell party held for Dr Grewal last week.

Lauding her for the achievement, the VC said, “Dr Grewal has served PAU for 33 years in various capacities and has been instrumental in rejuvenating the field of home science by introducing new courses and degree programmes in the university.”

Grewal expressed her gratitude to the dignitaries for recognising her achievements.DRWA works with national and international organisations to conduct basic, strategic and applied research on gender issues in agriculture and allied fields.
