The monthly training camp for the members of PAU Kisan Club will be organised on October 9.
Divulging details, Dr HS Dhaliwal, director of extension education, said the experts would shed light on the role of different extension methodologies to minimise the cost of production, development of happy seeder technology, agricultural technology in India by TATA Chemicals, cultivation of winter vegetable crops and role of biogas plant in farm development. Besides, other relevant issues of Kisan Club will also be discussed.
Dr Dhaliwal further informed that during the training camp of women's wing, the farm women will be imparted practical as well as theoretical training in home decoration and preparation of sweet and salty dishes for festivals.
Meanwhile, the directorate of extension education, PAU will organise a training course on 'Rice Cultivation and New Agricultural Technologies' for Chhattisgarh farmers on October 13 and 14.
Dr Dhaliwal informed that the farmers will be educated about recommended varieties of rice and basmati crops, recommended production technology and cultivation of direct seeded rice, technology for mechanical transplantation of rice, use of resource conservation technology for paddy crop, important insect-pests of rice and their control measures, and management of important rice diseases.
